HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT KETAMINE INFUSION TREATMENTS, AND HOW DID YOU DECIDE TO CHOOSE THIS AS A TREATMENT OPTION?
I found out about Reset Ketamine by Googling what was in my area and it came up as highly recommended with great reviews. This is certainly something you really should research fully before choosing who you want to go with. In my opinion, there is a great deal of trust that needs to be there when getting a ketamine treatment.
WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF YOUR MENTAL HEALTH, AND WHAT OTHER TREATMENTS DID YOU TRY BEFORE KETAMINE?
I have had major depression and anxiety all of my adult life, along with suicidal thoughts and tendencies. I have been a cutter on-and-off, and recently an eating disorder has been added to my diagnoses. I have been on dozens of medications, but they only work for a little bit. Also, they numb me so I don’t feel anything; even joy and happiness seems to be gone with these medications. I have tried talk therapy and have been in a psychiatric hospital twice in my life. I also tried ECT and am thinking of retrying it again as an add-on to my ketamine treatment.
WHAT WAS YOUR INTENTION OR GOAL FOR THE KETAMINE INFUSIONS?
My intention for trying ketamine was that because it was unique it just may work with the possibility of learning more about my deeper feelings. I received much more than anticipated on so many levels.
HOW DID YOU FEEL GOING INTO YOUR FIRST INFUSION?
I was nervous of course with some anxiety. But I think I was more hopeful and also curious about what it would feel like to have a ketamine treatment. I was never once afraid and always felt great trust with Dr. Ko, who took the time to explain everything beforehand.
DID YOU EXPERIENCE ANY SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE TREATMENT?
After my treatment I feel a bit tired. Almost like I am sobering up from a night of drinking. I also get a little bit of double vision but it goes away rapidly.
WHAT WAS THE KETAMINE INFUSION EXPERIENCE LIKE FOR YOU?
I feel relaxed and content. I find I am much more reflective after my ketamine experiences. I am able to understand my soul in a way I never knew before. It also feels like I am meditating in a beautifully, deep way. I love my experiences and it has been been a very positive change in my life. Things seem to be clear for me on what I need to do to be happier.
WHAT WAS ONE OF YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES DURING THE TREATMENT?
I had a time or two where the experience I had caused me to suddenly understand everything. Things seemed to make sense on a deeper level. It was extremely satisfying. It is very difficult to put my experience into words. But almost all my treatments are uniquely different and yet the same. I am learning that you can alter the experience to see what you want as well at times. It’s very cool.
WHAT’S ONE OF THE LESSONS YOU’VE GAINED FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE FROM THE TREATMENT?
I am learning that in order to heal from mental health issues, I need to understand what is going on deep with my soul and ketamine infusions help me do just that. No other treatments I have ever done has ever allowed me to heal from the inside out. I have a better understanding of myself now. Ketamine treatments have become something I eagerly look forward to each time.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO IS CONSIDERING KETAMINE INFUSION TREATMENTS?
My advice would be “go for it” and consider Dr Ko and Reset Ketamine. He is the best. Ketamine infusions really work. And it works quickly on my mood and pain. In my opinion, physicians should really consider ketamine treatment as a regular part of therapy. This has been the best decision I have ever made. No regrets and only great outcomes from the treatment.
WHAT STANDS OUT IN YOUR MIND ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH DR. KO AND RESET KETAMINE?
From the deepest part of my heart, I am grateful for Dr. Ko and all the things he has done to support me. He has been patient, listened to my worries, and helped to explore them. His holistic approach definitely aides in the healing process. Dr. Ko has a set of great tools, recommendations, and resources, which help at home, such as self help books to read, meditation apps, journaling nightly, and useful links to interesting things to read up on.
